ABOUT

H. C. PEMBERTON

Raised in Texas, H. C. Pemberton spent most of her summers in Colorado where she acquired a deep appreciation for natural beauty.

In 2014, she took up oil painting under the tutelage of Beth Prichard and Kaye Franklin in Graham, Texas.  Her early works received awards at the Lake Country Art Show in Graham, Texas and sales at the Art de los Brazos Show in Graford, Texas.

In 2018, the Pembertons moved to Montrose, Colorado where she joined the Montrose Visual Arts Guild.  Her works currently hang at the Montrose Center for the Arts and in various local businesses as part of the Art in Motion program sponsored by the guild.

The art of H.C.Pemberton reflects her love of the out-of-doors.  She has spent a lifetime exploring the wonders of nature whether it is inside her garden walls or off the grid hunting long forgotten trails.

Pemberton finds a challenge in "narrowing it down".  The vast panorama of nature's landscape seems overwhelming at times. But her desire to share a moment in time draws the viewer into a painting with thoughtfully placed light.
